Job Description

Our client is looking for a newly created role for a Warehouse Manager for a business who are opening their 1st warehouse. You will be there to help set up the warehouse from scratch through to a well organised working warehouse and beyond. Role: We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Warehouse Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our warehouse facility. In this role, you will oversee a team of warehouse staff and ensure the efficient and accurate handling of incoming and outgoing goods. You’ll be responsible for inventory control, process optimisation, safety compliance, and driving continuous improvement across warehouse operations. In every scenario, you will lead with the customer’s experience in mind. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional organisational skills, and a commitment to operational excellence. Responsibilities: * Supervise all daily warehouse operations including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods. * Manage, coach, and develop warehouse staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management. * Implement efficient warehouse processes and best practices to maximize space utilization and workflow. * Become proficient in the warehouse management system (WMS) and ensure its effective use across the team. * Monitor inventory levels and ensure accuracy in stock records and timely replenishment. * Enforce compliance with all health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment. * Oversee warehouse equipment maintenance and ensure proper operation. * Collaborate closely with Operations and other departments to ensure accurate and timely fulfilment of orders. * Prepare performance reports, including inventory accuracy, shipping, and receiving metrics. * Address and resolve issues related to inventory discrepancies or shipment errors. * Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse performance and reduce operational inefficiencies. * Ensure all activities are aligned with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations. Experience * 3+ years of proven experience in warehouse or logistics management, ideally within a high-volume environment. * Proficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics software. * Thorough knowledge of workplace safety regulations and best practices. Skills * Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and motivate a diverse team. * Solid understanding of inventory management, shipping, receiving, and fulfilment processes. * Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and organizational skills. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime during peak periods Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic warehouse environment. Accountability * Delivery of inbound and outbound KPIs. * Maintains good stock integrity and delivers in line with expected KPIs. * Holds self and team accountable for maintaining in depth knowledge of health and safety regulations. * Manages their team in line with the brand values and goals and holds both team and self-accountable to the same * Effectively onboards and manages direct report(s) to deliver competent performance within their individual role(s) and offers support in line with our brand values and company handbook. Addresses capability and conduct issues in a thorough and timely manner
