About the Company
Our client is one of the South East’s leading Design, Build, and Maintenance firms, known for delivering best-value solutions across construction and commercial sectors. From feasibility studies to installation and ongoing maintenance, they’re trusted for their commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Due to continued growth, they’re now seeking a hands-on Warehouse Manager to lead operations across their Woolwich sites.
The Role
As Warehouse Manager, you’ll take full ownership of warehouse operations — from goods-in to dispatch — while driving improvements in layout, efficiency, and team performance. You’ll lead a small but capable team, ensuring compliance, safety, and service excellence at every stage.
This is a strategic and operational role, ideal for someone who thrives on structure, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff to deliver high performance
* Oversee receiving, storage, stock control, and dispatch
* Optimise warehouse layout and workflows for safety and efficiency
* Monitor KPIs and use data to drive operational improvements
* Ensure full compliance with H&S and environmental standards
* Collaborate with internal teams to support wider project delivery
* Maintain accurate inventory records and stock management systems
* Build strong relationships across departments and with suppliers
What We’re Looking For
* Proven leadership experience in warehouse or day operations (3+ years)
* Strong planning, organisational, and analytical skills
* Track record of driving process improvements and managing change
* Calm under pressure, with excellent problem-solving ability
* Confident communicator across all levels
* Hands-on, collaborative leadership style
* IT literate (MS Office, warehouse systems)
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Forklift licence (desirable but not essential)
