Warehouse Operative FLT
Hours: 4:00pm - Midnight (40 Hours per week) Days: Sunday to Thursday
Salary - £29,000
Purpose of Job
As a Warehouse Operative you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse activities. You will be responsible for the efficient handling, storage, and dispatch of bakery ingredients, ensuring accuracy, safety, and hygiene standards are maintained at all times. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Job Description
Operate Forklift Trucks (counterbalance/reach) and other MHE safely and in line with company policies.
Accurately pick stock for production and dispatch orders according to instructions and order sheets.
Put stock away into appropriate storage locations using barcode scanners or manual records.
Carry out stock counts and report any discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and health & safety within the warehouse.
Assist with loading and unloading deliveries, checking goods in/out.
Work closely with production, planning, and logistics teams to ensure stock availability and accuracy.
Follow all company procedures including food safety, allergen control, and hygiene standards.

Promote and maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
Take reasonable care of your own health and safety, as well as that of others who may be affected by your actions or omissions.
Promptly report any hazards, unsafe practices, incidents, or near misses to your line manager or the Health & Safety team.
Cooperate with management on all matters relating to health and safety, including attending mandatory training and following issued guidance or instructions.
Use equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) properly and as instructed to minimise risk.
Participate in risk assessments and contribute to the identification and control of workplace hazards.
Support a culture of continuous improvement in workplace safety by actively engaging in health and safety initiatives and suggestions.

Job Requirements
Essentials
Valid FLT licence (e.g. Counterbalance, Reach) - RTITB or equivalent
Experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment
Good attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy
Ability to work well as part of a team and follow instructions
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
Physically able move stock as requiredDesirable
Awareness of HACCP, allergen handling, or food hygiene practices
Previous experience in the food manufacturing or FMCG sector
Familiarity with inventory systems or handheld scanners
