Job Role: Warehouse Operative
Location: Carrickfergus
Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour
Hours: 8am - 4pm Tuesday to Friday & 7am - 3pm Saturday
Your Role:
We are currently recruiting Warehouse Operatives to join a busy, fast-paced distribution centre in Carrickfergus. The company store and deliver large, heavy, and bulky items. It will be your job to ensure the delivery crews are loaded up. Dealing with items such as refrigerators, televisions, indoor and outdoor furniture requires hard work, dedication, and heavy lifting. This is a temporary opportunity starting on 17th November - 20th December.
Your Responsibilities:
Picking customers' orders from location
Accurately loading and unloading both inbound and outbound vehicles
Checking paperwork is completed correctly
Safely moving and correctly categorising customer items within the warehouse
Complying with all Health and Safety policies and procedures
Working as a team
Safely using technical equipment
Maintaining a clean and tidy work environment
You will have:
Experience working in a similar, fast-paced operational environment
Good level of physical fitness - this is an active role with heavy lifting involved
A positive, can-do attitude
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Attention to detail and a strong work ethic
Ability to prioritise Health and Safety for yourself and your colleagues
Confidence to work with computer systems (specific system training will be provided)
A reliable, punctual, and flexible approach
