Job Description

Role: Warehouse Operative

Location: Hull Alexandra Dock

Start date: ASAP

Duration: 3 month rolling contract

Pay Rate: £14.76 PAYE

Hours: 40 hrs p/wk 07:00-15.30

Overtime available

Forklift Licence Desirable 

Description

Accepting incoming goods and compares them with the shipping document (Material number, description, quantity)
Checking incoming goods for visible damage, documents them and provides the information if required.
Taking care for correct use of transport equipment (hand-guided industrial trucks, forklift, etc.).
Capturing relevant data in data processing systems.
Arranging the acceptance, storage, commissioning, and removal of goods in the storage area and records them in the appropriate systems.
Organizing a regular stock maintenance and inventory in the storage area.
Assembling deliveries out of given storage compartments and reviews for completeness and accuracy (e.g., quantity and article number in reference to the respective delivery notes).
Completing packaging of deliveries having regard to shipping instructions, common methods of dispatch, types of packaging and other instructions (e.g., Dangerous Goods) in the given framework.
Adding the corresponding shipping documents to the outgoing goods.
Completing transports inside and if applicable outside the premises with professional usage of appropriate means of transportation.
Prior experience working in Warehouse environment is essential
Experience of Reach truck & Counterbalance (up to 12t) forklift licence is preferred.
SAP knowledge would be an added advantage
Competent IT skills such as Microsoft Excel for basic data input/extraction
Excellent housekeeping management and organisational skills
