Job Description

Our client is a well-established engineering company based in St Leonards on Sea. A vacancy has arisen for a Warehouse Operative to join their busy engineering team.

The ideal candidate will possess demonstrable experience within a warehouse, experience of operating a Counterbalance Forklift, be computer literate and hold a good eye for detail. You will also be able to work well in a team and have an awareness of Health and Safety in the workplace.  

As a Warehouse Operative you will be receiving delivery of goods and storing them, checking for damaged or missing items as well as packaging of goods. You will also be prepping items ready to be moved to specific departments to ensure completion of work. 

The Ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualities:

Demonstrable experience within a Warehouse
	
Experience of operating a Counterbalance Forklift
	
Be computer literate
	
Hold a good eye for detail
	
Be able to work well in a team
	
Ability to complete paperwork and take stock
	
Awareness of Health and Safety in the workplace
	
Able to work quickly and efficiently

Your duties as a Warehouse Operative would be:

Receiving delivery of goods and storing them
	
Checking for damaged or missing items
	
Moving stock by hand 
	
Packaging of goods
	
Ensuring goods are loaded ready for sending 
	
Keeping and maintaining stock records
	
Data entry
	
Maintaining the warehouse in a clean and tidy manner

Salary:

£12.55 per hour

Hours:

Monday – Thursday, 8am – 5pm and Friday 8am – 1pm
	
39 Hours per week
	
Full Time, Temp - Perm
