Warehouse Operative/Forklift Driver

Job Description: Early Day Shift Warehouse Operative

Shift: 6:30 – 15:30 (Monday to Friday)

Salary: £27000 to £29000 - per annum

Location: DPE Group, HP4 3TY

Reports to: Warehouse Manager

Purpose of the Role

To ensure the safe, accurate, and timely handling of goods during daytime operations, including lorry loading/unloading, locker processing, and vehicle preparation. The role supports continuity across logistics flows and contributes to maintaining high operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  * Unload and load inbound/outbound LGV’s & Hiab’s

  * Ensure correct and secure loading/unloading practices

  * Check lockers/goods for damage

  * Process, build and program lockers ready for installation

  * Vehicle Preparation

  * Support early morning dispatch readiness

  * Pick and storage lockers in correct areas

  * Maintain clear and safe bay areas throughout the shift

  * Documentation & systems

  * Collaborate with the warehouse manager and installation teams

  * Assist colleagues when available and contribute to a respectful, fair team culture

Skills & Requirements

  * Experience in warehouse or logistics operations (preferred)

  * Valid forklift or MHE certification (desirable)

  * Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

  * Strong attention to detail and safety awareness

  * Willingness to support team and colleagues

Additional Notes

  * PPE must be worn at all times

  * Role includes physical tasks and prolonged standing and moving

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £27500 to £29000 - per annum
