Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic logistics team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse, handling materials efficiently, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Duties

  * Assisting in the unloading of deliveries from HGV trucks safely and efficiently using appropriate manual handling techniques

  * Report discrepancies, shortages, or damages to the supervisor promptly.

  * Handling materials, including loading and unloading goods from lorries and storage areas

  * Organising storage areas to optimise space utilisation

  * Conducting quality control checks on incoming and outgoing goods

  * Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times during daily operations

Qualifications

  * Experience in a warehouse environment or logistics role is preferred

  * Knowledge of materials handling equipment, particularly forklift operation, is highly desirable

  * Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively

  * Physical capability for heavy lifting and manual handling of goods

  * Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team

  * Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
