Warehouse Operative

Location: Wormingford, Colchester

Day Shifts: 7am-4pm, £13.77 per hour, overtime rate of £17.21ph

OR

Night Shifts: 4pm-1am £14.27 per hour, overtime rate of £17.83ph

About the Role:

A well-established food manufacturing company is looking for reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operatives to join its production team.

Due to the rural location, a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.

Requirements:

  * Valid, accredited Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence

  * Valid UK Driving Licence

  * Reliable, punctual and willing to learn

  * Basic English and maths skills

  * Physically fit for manual work

  * Comfortable in fast-paced environment

  * Food production experience is helpful but not required

Key Responsibilities:

  * Supply bulk packaging and materials to production and packing lines

  * Load and unload delivery vehicles

  * Support efficient stock rotation and use handheld RF scanners to ensure accurate inventory tracking

  * Help reduce waste and product damage during transit and storage

  * Follow all Health & Safety, Food Safety, HACCP and site hygiene procedures

  * Maintain a clean, safe and organised warehouse and yard area

  * Complete required quality and pre-shift forklift inspection checks accurately

  * Operate all material handling equipment safely

  * Work closely with colleagues across production, packing, engineering and quality
