Job Description

Firmin Recruit are pleased to be working with our established distribution company based in Aylesford, Kent. Our client has been established since 1975 and has office worldwide. Due to business growth my client is looking to recruit an experienced Inbound/Outbound Warehouse Operative to join their friendly team.

The overall purpose of the role is to unload/load containers, trailers. Pick and pack large pallet orders, and general warehouse duties.

Hours: 7 am - 3.30 pm or 8.30 am- 5pm Monday - Friday (varies each week)

Overtime is occasionally required

Holidays : 29-day holiday including bank holidays. Parking, Pension, Sick pay full after first six months of employment, bonus scheme, overtime, uniform.

The Role:

  * To unload cargo from a shipping container ( loose and palletised)

  * To palletise loose cartons for putting away into bays

  * To move pallets in/out of warehouse locations

  * To load ocean freight containers/trailers

  * To receive and check inbound and outbound inventory

  * To store and record stock with WMS System

Suitable Candidate:

  * Previous warehouse and forklift experience with WMS Warehouse Management Systems.

  * Good Excel/office package skills

  * eCommerce warehouse experience

  * Forklift Counter- Balance experience and licence

  * Strong customer services skills

  * Great attention to detail.

  * Good numeracy skill

  * A "can do"/ positive attitude

  * Flexibility - willing to work overtime when necessary

  * Physically fit, as role requires manual handling, container unloading & some heavy lifting.
