Job Description
Basic Annual Salary Range: £25,000 to £27,000
Equivalent Hourly Pay Rate: £12.21 to £12.98
Full-time Temporary to Permanent Opportunity!
5am till 2pm, Monday to Friday (No weekends) – 9 hours per day.
If you live between Basingstoke and Reading and have a car or motorbike or scooter, then you will be able to get to the work location within 30-minutes.
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by handling various tasks related to materials management, shipping, and receiving. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.
Responsibilities
* Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
* Perform picking and packing duties to prepare orders for shipment.
* Cutting and preparing products to order for storage or shipment.
* Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation.
* Audit of material inventory to customer orders / schedule.
* Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper mechanical functioning.
* Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals while adhering to safety protocols and ISO quality control procedures.
* Perform heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring safe handling techniques are followed.
Experience
* Previous experience in a warehouse environment is essential.
* Familiarity using cutting machines is advantageous.
* Experience operating forklifts or similar machinery is highly desirable.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) consistently throughout the shift.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining accurate inventory records.
