The Role
A reliable and proactive Warehouse Operative is required to join a growing family-run food manufacturer based in Uckfield. Specialising in herb and spice blends for UK and export markets, the successful candidate will join a close-knit logistics team, reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth running of warehouse operations to support production and customer satisfaction.
Receive and dispatch goods accurately and efficiently
Rotate and organise stock to support production flow
Operate machinery, including forklifts (training provided)
Load vans and arrange customer deliveries/collections
Liaise with production and sales teams to meet targets
Use internal IT systems for stock tracking and order processing
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety in the warehouse
Requirements
We are seeking a positive, customer-focused individual with strong attention to detail and time management skills. You will be a good communicator and team player, comfortable using IT systems (training provided). Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is desirable but not essential, and training including forklift certification will be provided.
This role could suit someone who has worked as a Warehouse Assistant, Logistics Operative, or Stock Controller.
