Warehouse Operative Required – IMMEDIATE START | North Petherton, Bridgwater
Hours Initial Training Hours: Monday to Thursday: 08:00 – 17:30 Friday: 08:00 – 13:00
Post-Training Shift: Monday to Thursday: 12:00 – 20:00 Friday: 10:00 – 16:00
We’re looking for a reliable and flexible Warehouse Operative with Reach and Counterbalance Forklift experience to join our growing manufacturing team in Bridgwater for an immediate start. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone confident with physical work and organised warehouse practices in a busy production environment.
Main Responsibilities:
Moving stock around the warehouse using Reach and Counterbalance forklift trucks
Picking raw materials for production (includes lifting and stacking 25kg sacks)
Receiving and inspecting incoming goods, placing them into designated locations
Palletising, wrapping, loading, and dispatching orders
Maintaining a well-organised manual warehouse system
Conducting regular stock takes in warehouse and production areas
Monitoring inventory levels and working closely with Purchasing
Adhering to Health & Safety procedures and good working practices
General warehouse duties as required
What We’re Looking For:
Experience operating Reach and Counterbalance FLTs
Familiarity with automated software or ERP systems preferred (training provided)
Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately
Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently
Awareness of food safety and quality systems is an advantage
