Senior Warehouse Operative – Day Shift
Location: Bristol
Salary: £30,000 per annum + performance-related bonus
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00am–4:00pm | Alternate Saturdays, 8:00am–12:00pm
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Overview:
We’re seeking an experienced and proactive individual to lead day-to-day operations within our warehouse facility. In this key role, you’ll oversee a small logistics team, ensuring smooth receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods while upholding high safety and quality standards. This is a hands-on position requiring a strong leader who’s comfortable working collaboratively and stepping into driving duties when needed.
Key Responsibilities:

Daily Leadership: Supervise and coordinate a team of warehouse staff during the day shift, ensuring productivity targets and service standards are met.

Inbound Logistics: Oversee unloading and checking of deliveries, ensuring items are properly recorded and stored in designated locations.
*
Inventory Handling: Manage stock replenishment and perform light product rectifications, including surface-level polishing or defect correction where required.
*
Health & Safety: Enforce safety protocols, maintain a tidy work environment, and ensure compliance with company and legal safety procedures.
*
Customer Support: Address order-related queries and liaise with internal systems to resolve service issues efficiently.
*
Communication & Handover: Maintain accurate shift records and conduct effective handovers via email or reporting tools.
*
Driving Duties: Provide delivery cover using company vehicles (3.5T) during staff absences or peak periods.
About You:

Prior experience in a warehouse supervisory or senior operative position is essential.
*
Full UK driving licence with competence in driving 3.5-tonne vehicles (e.g. LWB vans).
*
Strong understanding of warehouse operations and health & safety compliance.
*
Reliable, punctual, and confident in leading others with a calm, solution-focused approach.
*
Comfortable using digital tools or bespoke internal systems for reporting and order tracking.
*
Flexibility to support other shifts or duties during holiday/sickness cover is required.
*
Forklift licence is an advantage, but not mandatory.
