️ Engineering Stores Operative – Archived Stock & Disposal
Location: Northampton
Hours: Full-time | Contract Type: Temporary ongoing
Salary: £13 per hour
Are you detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and comfortable working independently? We’re looking for a reliable Engineering Stores Operative to manage the processing and disposal of archived stock in line with company procedures and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Process archived materials for disposal (recycling, hazardous waste, scrap).
Maintain accurate SAP records of stock movements and disposals.
Verify part numbers, batches, and documentation before disposal.
Perform manual handling tasks safely and efficiently.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Collaborate with quality and environmental teams for proper waste handling.
✅ What We’re Looking For
Experience in stores, warehouse, or materials handling (engineering/manufacturing preferred).
Working knowledge of SAP (MM/WM) or similar ERP systems.
Strong attention to detail and record-keeping.
Physically fit and safety-aware.
Forklift/material handling experience (advantageous).
Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office, data entry).
Personal Attributes
Self-motivated and proactive.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Responsible, reliable, and process-driven.
A team player when needed.
