We are very pleased to be working alongside a modern and innovative family based business as they seek to recruit a Warehouse Operative on a permanent full time basis to join their busy and friendly team based close to Uckfield.
My client is very highly thought of within their sector and offers an excellent environment and team in which to work. This role is full time (Mon-Fri 08:30am-4:00pm). This is a great opportunity to join an established and very reputable company within their field.
We are seeking someone reliable and trustworthy who takes pride in their work.
Warehouse Operative
Full time permanent role
Mon-Fri 8:30am - 4:00pm - site based role.
Uckfield - outskirts. There is plenty of free parking on site available for all staff. Due to workplace location and lack of public transport in the area, it is essential to be a driver and have your own transport.
Salary £29000 - £30000 per year (may go higher) plus very good company benefits, monthly company lunches, employee discounts and a good pension scheme
This is an excellent opportunity to use your skills and experience gained within a Warehouse / Forklift role, working as a key part of a friendly and busy team.
The role - Warehouse Operative
This role is suitable for someone who is interested in a role that includes, but is not limited to; order picking and packing, stock control and warehouse / forklift duties.
Duties will include:
Previous experience in a similar role, including management, co-ordination of goods in and out, stock management and fork lift driving
To work reliably and accurately on the picking / packaging of orders ready for dispatch.
Maintaining general tidiness and standards within the warehouse.
Keeping on top of stock control and stock replenishment.
Managing dispatches to suppliers and distributors.
To drive the company van and organise deliveries between the two very local sites in East Sussex.
Experience, competencies and knowledge required:
Must drive and have own transport - due to workplace location.
Able to work in a busy warehouse environment
Strong team player.
Good computer skills required, along with a good standard of English and Maths
Forklift driving experience required
Holder of a clean driving licence for 2 years plus and aged 25 or over due to company van insurance conditions and restrictions (essential)
