Warehouse Supervisor – Freight & Logistics
📍 Basildon | £32,500 | Full-Time (37.5 hrs/week)

You'll be overseeing warehouse staff, ensuring freight is handled with care and efficiency, and helping uphold safety, compliance, and operational standards across the board. What You’ll Be Doing
*
Supervising daily warehouse activities and ensuring team adherence to procedures
*
Overseeing safe and timely loading/unloading of cargo and containers
*
Ensuring damage/shortage reporting and freight accountability
*
Enforcing safety protocols (e.g., PPE compliance, forklift checks, secure freight handling)
*
Supporting clean, orderly, and efficient warehouse operations
*
Coordinating timely vehicle turnaround and smooth handovers
*
Ensuring equipment maintenance and reporting issues proactively
What You’ll Bring
*
At least 4 years of warehouse experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory capacity
*
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
*
Valid Counterbalance FLT license (3000kg+); Flexi FLT experience is a plus
*
Experience with groupage, container loading/unloading
*
Stable work history demonstrating reliability and long-term commitment
*
A valid UK driving license (essential for shunter training)
Other Key Details
*
Shift pattern: Rotating early (07:00–15:30), mid (09:00–17:30), and late (11:30–20:00)
*
DBS check required (must be clear)
*
Interview process includes basic arithmetic, spelling, and attention to detail tests
*
Proof of right to work in the UK required at interview
