Job Description
Pertemps are currently recruiting for a proactive and hands-on Supervisor to support the day-to-day running of a busy warehouse operation. As a key link between the team and senior site management, you’ll take ownership of people, process, and performance across key warehouse functions - ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and safety while leading your team to achieve daily targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate warehouse operatives to ensure smooth workflow across goods-in, storage, and dispatch
Oversee movement, picking, and packing of stock, including palletising and preparing goods for delivery
Ensure compliance with company procedures, stock control processes, and health & safety standards at all times
Maintain safe handling and storage practices, including manual handling, forklift use, and PPE compliance
Monitor KPIs and contribute to continuous improvement across warehouse operations
Conduct return-to-works, performance reviews, and disciplinaries when required
Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant warehouse environment
Support audits, stock checks, and ensure accurate record keeping
Escalate issues appropriately and provide operational support to senior management
What we’re looking for:
Previous supervisory/team leader experience in a fast-paced warehouse, logistics, or FMCG environment
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coordinate a team effectively
Confident decision-maker, able to work under pressure and meet operational targets
Good understanding of warehouse processes, stock control, and health & safety compliance
KPI- and results-driven, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
Pay & Hours:
£13.48 per hour
Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 17:00
