Due to the continued success and growth of the business they are now seeking an experienced Warehouse Team Leader who is extremely motivated, reliable, honest and trustworthy and excited to join their industry leading company.
THE ROLE:
The primary role of the Warehouse Team Leader is to lead the Goods Out / logistics team in the accurate picking, order preparation, stock management / rotation and general warehouse best practice, maximising efficiencies to provide timely availability to meet customer expectations. Undertake thorough quality and quantity checks on all orders to achieve 100% on- time and in full targets. Working closely with both the Transport & Logistics and Planning Supervisor on a daily basis to manage the manufacture / availability of required stock to meet your picking priorities. Maintaining the Warehouse to agreed standards of GMP, including all equipment and resources.
Follow Company policies and procedures at all times.
Line management responsibility for the team of warehouse operatives, allocating and directing daily labour to meet priorities, adjusting as required.
Co-ordinate and control the daily pick, setting expectations individually and collectively, monitoring performance and directly challenging any issues immediately. Escalating any ongoing issues to management team.
Run daily team huddle/briefs, setting short-term targets/objectives.
Checking/signing off all picked orders for accurate product and quality standards.
Work collaboratively with the Transport & Logistics Supervisor to ensure customer orders are picked, checked and loaded in line with your distribution schedule, taking responsibility for all orders to completion and loading onto collection vehicle.
Fully utilise the diplomat system to manage all orders with regular status updates to keep stakeholders informed.
Control and maintain all physical paperwork and records in date order to support traceability and investigations.
Report all absences, complete RTW interviews, and support HR with any required follow up actions.
Proactively contribute towards our continuous improvement culture, identifying improvements and suggesting changes that further support quality and efficiency.
Undertake/support GMP inspections with QA Supervisor, taking responsibility for all corrective actions.
The role is full time (8.00am - 4.30pm) Monday to Friday..
THE CANDIDATE
5 years+ experience within a Team Leader / Supervisor position is essential.
At least 5 years' experience of working within a manufacturing / logistics continuous process environment is essential.
Must have developed and extensive people management and Team Leading Skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
A decent level of computer literacy.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work while standing for long hours with manual handling and lifting capability.
IOSH/NEBOSH awareness is desirable.
Forklift driving certification - both Counterbalance and Reach Truck licences are required.
THE BENEFITS:
Salary: 26,000 - £30,000
28 days holiday inc BH, company pension, free on site parking, day working
