Job Description
Are you an experienced warehouse or logistics professional ready to take the next step in your career? We’re looking for a proactive and organised Warehouse Team Leader to oversee the daily despatch operations at our busy Aylesham site.
Working closely with your counterpart on the opposite shift, you’ll lead a small team to ensure orders are picked, checked, and dispatched accurately and efficiently—meeting deadlines without compromising quality or safety.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Coordinating shift start-up procedures and briefing the team on daily targets
* Unlocking and carrying out pre-start equipment checks
* Leading the team to deliver against daily work plans and KPIs
* Overseeing order picking and loading/unloading operations
* Ensuring full compliance with stock management systems and processes
* Maintaining high standards of accuracy, health & safety, and customer service
* Liaising with the transport and despatch office to ensure smooth logistics operations
* Supporting training, development, and performance of team members
What We’re Looking For
* Experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse or logistics environment
* Strong leadership and resource planning skills
* Excellent attention to detail and communication abilities
* Good working knowledge of health & safety legislation
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
* A forklift licence (Reach or Counterbalance) – essential
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths – essential
* A logistics qualification (e.g. CILT) – desirable
* Experience in high-volume manufacturing or fresh produce – a bonus
