We’re looking for a Waste Assistant. Based at our Capenhurst site, you’ll provide a range of technical waste support activities to the Waste Team including but not limited to: • Support with Permit to Permit transfer documentation. • Support in the preparation of consignment documentation. • Support to waste meetings. • Waste team booking codes management. • Surveillance and reporting of waste management online tools. • Review and collation of dashboards and KPIs, highlighting where possible organisational improvements are required. • Maintenance of the Waste Team Obeya Centres (Level 3 boards) for the Decommissioning Team, and coordination between sub teams within the Waste Team. In-addition provide administrative support and document control cover during periods of high-demand or absence. At Urenco we’re committed to giving you opportunities to be your best. What you’ll do: Provides technical support to the wider team which includes but is not limited to: • Supporting the wider team in coordinating various programmes of work to ensure they are implemented and delivered to plan. • Supporting the role out and maintenance of the Level 3 Obeya Boards and their integration into the Level 2 meetings. • Delivers a range of generic activities as required by departmental management, including assisting with workshops, tracking multi-step activities and verifications, collecting document approvals, continual improvement etc. • Collect, collate and analyse data on behalf of others, format data, prepare reports and ensure these are presented appropriately • Coordinates logistics for meetings and prepares required paperwork in advance, anticipating the needs of the team by organising material for discussion including, agendas, minutes, presentations and reports. • Assist with the production of Project Waste Management Plans (PWMPs) and Sample Plans (DQO/DQA) to support waste management projects. What do you need to thrive in this role? • A Proactive attitude with the initiative to proactively manage the teams’ requirements on a regular basis • Previous experience as an administrator or assistant. • Ability to establish and administer document management systems. • Ability to work on own initiative and programme own work. • Good written and verbal communication skills including good interpersonal skills necessary to work in a team environment and to liaise with all levels of the organisation • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Visio, Atlantic Link and Power Point. • Strong analytical skills What can you expect from us?
