Role outline:

The Waste & Drainage Engineer will deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality environmental and drainage services by operating and maintaining specialist mobile plant, high-pressure water jetting, and vacuum equipment. You will work across wastewater treatment sites and related environments, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, supporting team operations nationwide, and contributing to the effective completion of projects for GEL Engineering’s clients.

Responsibilities:

- Operate and maintain mobile plant and pumping equipment

- Carry out high-pressure water jetting and vacuuming tasks

- Work in confined spaces in compliance with health and safety protocols

- Deliver work on wastewater treatment sites and related environments

- Collaborate effectively with team members on projects across the UK

- Demonstrate flexibility with working hours and overnight stays when required

Requirements:

- Proven experience in the wastewater industry

- Confined space training and awareness

- Skilled in high-pressure water jetting and pumping operations

- Competent with operating mobile jetting plant

- Comfortable working as part of a team in challenging environments

- Willingness to work overtime and away from home as needed

- UK Driving Licence

- Right to Work in the UK on permanent basis
