Job Title: Waste Operations Manager
Contract: 6 Months (Inside IR35)
Location: South West (Local Authority) - Predominantly Onsite
Panoramic Associates is proud to be working exclusively with a Local Authority in the South West to appoint an experienced Waste Operations Manager on an interim basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the day-to-day management and supervision of Waste Operations, ensuring the efficient delivery of refuse, recycling, and garden waste services in compliance with all statutory and legal obligations.
Direct and manage a team of Supervisors, providing leadership and support to maintain a motivated, high-performing workforce.
Oversee the performance management of Supervisors to ensure delivery of service objectives and optimal value for money.
Manage the commercial waste collection service, identifying opportunities to enhance its financial contribution.
Take responsibility for the Council's vehicle and equipment fleet, ensuring it is safe, compliant, and cost-effective. This includes coordinating procurement, maintenance, and disposal in line with statutory requirements and financial regulations.
