Waste Sales & Brokerage Manager

We’re seeking an experienced Waste Sales & Brokerage Manager with proven knowledge of the construction waste and recycling sector. This is not a general sales role – we’re looking for someone who already understands waste management processes, compliance requirements, and industry regulations, and who brings a strong network of sector contacts.
You’ll be able to approach businesses confidently, structure commercially sound deals, and provide technical insight that gives clients confidence in our solutions. With the ability to balance commercial drive with compliance knowledge, you’ll play a key role in winning work, building long-term relationships, and helping clients meet their environmental and regulatory obligations.
The Role
Reporting to the Group Development Director, you will:

Leverage your waste and recycling industry knowledge to identify, target, and win new business.

Use existing construction sector contacts and develop new relationships to grow market share.
*
Provide technical input on compliance to support proposals, ensuring deals are robust and fit-for-purpose.
*
Generate leads through cold-calling, networking, and social media, while maintaining a strong sales pipeline.
*
Prepare quotations, proposals, and presentations tailored to client needs and industry standards.
*
Deliver weekly sales reporting and contribute to long-term business strategy.
What We’re Looking For
*
A proven track record in waste management sales/business development, with construction industry experience essential.
*
Strong knowledge of waste, recycling, and compliance requirements.
*
Established network of relevant sector contacts and the ability to open doors.
*
Skilled negotiator with commercial acumen and the ability to put deals together.
*
Self-starter who can work independently and deliver against targets.
*
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
*
Social media savvy with creative approaches to business development.
Skills & Experience
*
3–5 years’ experience in a waste management / construction sales role.
*
Technical understanding of waste streams, recycling, and compliance frameworks.
*
Strong presentation, communication, and IT skills.
*
Full UK driving licence required.
