Job Title: Water Hygiene Engineer Location: Watford, Greater London Salary/Benefits: £25k - £35k + Training & Benefits Our client is a rapidly growing Water Hygiene / Treatment company, who are looking to add a hardworking Water Hygiene Engineer to their team in the South Eastern region. The role will include undertaking a wide variety of ACOP L8 duties, such as: TMV servicing, CWST cleans & disinfections and calorifier blowdowns. The ideal candidate will have a proactive and positive approach to their work and a keenness to uphold company standards. Client contracts are based across: Watford, Harrow, Wembley, St Albans, Enfield, Borehamwood, Potters Bar, Luton, Leighton Buzzard, Hitchin, Enfield, Cheshunt, High Wycombe, Aylesbury, Thame, Oxford, Didcot, Maidenhead, Slough, Windsor, Reading, Milton Keynes, Twickenham, Buckingham, Bicester, Welwyn Garden City, Bletchley, Harlow, Epping, Bishop's Stortford. Experience / Qualifications: - Must have experience working as a Water Hygiene Engineer within a Water Hygiene / Legionella company - Excellent ACOP L8 and HSG 274 guidelines - Good literacy and numeracy skills - Comfortable using IT software and / or a PDA to complete reports - Preferably, candidates will have some experience undertaking legionella risk assessments, and will be qualified with the City & Guilds (WMSoc) in Legionella Risk Assessing - It would be beneficial to have undertaken industry training courses - Flexible to travel as required The Role: - Undertaking a variety of ACOP L8 compliance duties across commercial, local authority, public sector and domestic sites - TMV servicing - CWST inspections, cleans and disinfections - Showerhead descales - Calorifier blowdowns - Flushing of little used outlets - Water sampling - Temperature monitoring - Conducting some ad-hoc legionella risk assessments - Producing regular service reports Alternative job titles: Water Treatment Engineer, Legionella Technician, Environmental Service Technician, L8 Operative, Water Hygiene Technician.
