Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and proactive Water Hygiene Technician to join our team. This role involves carrying out a range of water hygiene-related tasks in accordance with current health and safety legislation and industry best practices. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with ACOP L8, HSG274, and other relevant standards.
Key Responsibilities:
*
Conduct Cold Water Storage Tank (CWST) erection and dismantling in compliance with relevant procedures and regulations.
*
Perform leak repairs on water systems as needed.
*
Carry out Thermostatic Mixing Valve (TMV) servicing, including checks, cleaning, and replacements.
*
Undertake disinfection tasks, such as chlorination of water systems, mains, and storage tanks.
*
Perform temperature monitoring of domestic water systems, ensuring compliance with legionella control standards.
*
Conduct water sampling for laboratory analysis and ensure all results are documented and escalated appropriately.
*
Complete accurate and timely reports, logs, and documentation using digital or manual systems.
*
Liaise with clients on-site in a professional manner and report any issues or non-compliance.
*
Ensure all work is carried out in line with internal procedures and industry regulations.
*
Adhere to company health & safety policies and maintain high standards of cleanliness and professionalism on-site.
Requirements:
*
Previous experience in a water hygiene role or similar environment (preferred).
*
Understanding of relevant legislation and guidance (e.g., ACOP L8, HSG274).
*
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*
Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
*
Full UK driving licence (required).
*
Willingness to travel and work flexibly to meet client needs.
Desirable Qualifications:
*
Legionella awareness or L8 training certificate.
*
CSCS card or equivalent.
*
Plumbing qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or higher) beneficial but not essentialBefore You Apply
