Job Description

Job Title: Water Hygiene Engineer Location: South London, East London & Kent Salary: Up to £34,000 w/ Van and Fuel Card (Plus overtime opportunities) Job Type: Permanent Daniel Owen are currently working with a successful company who are seeking a Water Hygiene Engineer to work across their contracts. The successful candidate will play a key role in carrying out water hygiene works in line with ACOP L8, HSG 274 and other relevant regulations, helping clients maintain compliance, reduce risks associated with Legionella, and ensure the safety of water systems. Water Hygiene Engineer Responsibilities: Conduct routine water hygiene monitoring, including temperature checks, water sampling, tank inspections, calorifier inspections, TMV servicing and failsafe checks. Carry out clean and disinfection of water systems, including cold water storage tanks and hot water systems. Assist with remedial plumbing tasks as required (pipework modifications, minor installations, removal of dead legs). Complete accurate records and service reports using company systems.Water Hygiene Engineer Requirements: Previous experience in water hygiene/Legionella control. Knowledge of ACOP L8 and HSG 274. Full UK driving license. NVQ or City & Guilds qualification in plumbing or related field (Desirable) Legionella Awareness/Water Hygiene training (Desirable) Experience working in commercial, industrial or health care environments (Desirable)Water Hygiene Engineer Benefits: Company vehicle, fuel card, and tools provided. 25 days holiday + bank holidays Competitive salary and overtime opportunities.
