Job Title: Web Technology Subject Matter Expert (SME) Location: Hybrid (Travel to London for 1-2 workshops) Employment Type: Short-Term Contract (10 days)  Day Rate: Circa £600pd (Outside IR35)   Our client is looking for a Web Technology Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join their team. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to apply your expertise and contribute to a significant transformation in a university’s digital presence. The strategic review of university websites is essential to ensure they remain user-friendly, informative, and aligned with the company’s goals. As web technologies advance, integrating data-driven strategies and understanding user needs are crucial for creating effective digital platforms.   Key Responsibilities - Engage in the development and evaluation of shortlisted options for the university's website and operating model, ensuring that recommendations are grounded in findings from the discovery phase. - Assist in designing the high-level operating model for the preferred option, incorporating best practises in web technology and user experience. - Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and establish a robust, data-driven performance monitoring process aimed at fostering a culture of continuous improvement.    Skills and Experience Needed - Demonstrated success in conducting strategic reviews of websites, particularly within higher education or similar sectors. - Strong understanding of web technologies, including but not limited to content management systems, analytics tools, and web platforms. - Knowledge of website architecture principles and the ability to assess and improve site performance. - Experience in utilising web data and analytics to inform decision-making processes. - Familiarity with user-centred website design principles and optimisation techniques to enhance user satisfaction. - Awareness of how artificial intelligence can impact website design and user interaction
