Grinding Machine Operator – Weekend Shift
Location: Tiverton
Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)
Hours: Friday to Sunday, 06:00 – 18:00
Contract: Permanent, Weekend Shift
Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are delighted to be supporting our client in Tiverton, who are looking for a motivated Grinding Machine Operator to join their team on a weekend-only shift.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with machine operating or engineering experience who is looking for a stable role with excellent work-life balance — working three days per week while enjoying four days off.
The Role
As a Grinding Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating grinding machinery to produce high-quality components to tight specifications. You’ll play a key role in maintaining production efficiency and ensuring products meet the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Set and operate grinding machines to manufacture precision components
Select and run the correct programmes for machine operation
Carry out routine machine checks and ensure optimal performance
Perform quality inspections before and after machining to production standards
Work to engineering drawings and process instructions accurately
About You
Previous experience operating grinding or CNC machinery (advantageous)
Strong understanding of engineering drawings
Confident using measuring equipment for quality checks
Basic IT skills, ideally with exposure to engineering software packages
A Level 2/3 Engineering qualification is preferred but not essential
