Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:00–18:00

We are a growing plastics recycling company based in Hartlepool, committed to sustainable waste management and high-quality recycled materials. We are looking for a reliable and detail-focused Weighbridge Operator / Administrator to join our operational team.
Role Overview
The Weighbridge Operator / Administrator will be responsible for accurately recording all vehicle movements on and off site, ensuring compliance with site procedures, and providing essential administrative support. This role is key to maintaining accurate materials data and smooth daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
*
Operate the weighbridge safely and efficiently, ensuring accurate weighing of inbound and outbound vehicles.
*
Record vehicle details, material types, and weights into the company’s systems.
*
Check and verify waste transfer notes, delivery documentation, and supplier/customer details.
*
Provide administrative support including data entry, filing, and generating daily/weekly reports.
*
Communicate with drivers, site staff, and management to support smooth site operations.
*
Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations at all times.
*
Maintain a clean, organised weighbridge office and uphold professional standards.
*
Assist with resolving discrepancies in weights, loads, or documentation.
Skills & Experience
*
Previous experience as a weighbridge operator or in an administrative role (preferred but not essential).
*
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
*
Good communication skills and a professional approach.
*
Confident using computers and data-entry systems.
*
Ability to work independently and manage a busy workload.
*
Understanding of recycling, waste management, or manufacturing environments is an advantage.
