About the Role:
As a Weighbridge Operator, you will be offered training and support to ensure you can provide the best practise in environmental, health and safety, quality and fleet management.
Your primary responsibility involves operating weighbridge equipment to measure and record the weight of vehicles and their loads. Weighbridge Operators play a crucial role in ensuring that goods are accurately weighed for various purposes, including billing, compliance, and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
Weighing all vehicles moving in and out of the site.
Ensure that waste transfer notes are received and issues as required
Ensuring all date is accurately updated with tonnage recorded correctly
Traffic control within the weighbridge area.
Making and received phone calls from customers.
Adhering to all health and safety regulations on site, including visitor sign in and out and PPE standards
Understanding each site permit to ensure only acceptable waste types are on site
General maintenance of weighbridge equipmentQualifications and Skills:
Proven experience as a weighbridge operator or similar role with a strong willingness to learn.
Strong knowledge of the waste and recycling industry.
An understanding of I.T, specifically experienced in using spreadsheets for data entry, calculation, and reporting
Excellent communication both written and verbal.
Flexibility on working hours/days.
Strong applied mathematical skills related to weight, volume, and measurement conversion.
High attention to detail and accuracy
