Sheet Metal Worker / Welder Fabricator
Bristol
£15.00 - £18.00 per hour
Permanent | Full-Time
Actio Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of an established manufacturing company based in Bristol for an experienced Sheet Metal Worker / Welder Fabricator.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy workshop team, working on a variety of fabrication projects using steel, stainless steel, aluminium and other materials. The role is entirely workshop-based, with no site work required.
Competitive pay of £15.00 - £18.00 per hour, depending on experience
Monday to Friday days shift
The Role
As a Sheet Metal Worker / Welder Fabricator, you will be involved in all aspects of fabrication and sheet metal manufacturing, from interpreting engineering drawings through to the production and finishing of high-quality components.
Key Responsibilities
* MIG and TIG welding
* Fabrication and assembly of metal components
* Operating press brake machinery
* Using punch and guillotine equipment
* Operating laser cutting machinery
* Working with steel, stainless steel, aluminium and other materials
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
* Measuring, cutting, forming and preparing materials
* Ensuring products meet quality standards
* Maintaining a safe and organised workshop environment
Candidate Requirements
* Previous experience within a sheet metal, fabrication or welding environment
* Proficient in MIG and TIG welding
* Experience operating press brakes, punches, guillotines and laser cutting equipment
* Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
