Job Title: Fabricator/Welder
Reports To: Works Manager
Overview:
This role is responsible for the high-quality, cost-effective fabrication of components to support the production and maintenance of new and used machinery. Working from technical drawings and sketches, the Fabricator/Welder will contribute to efficient and accurate manufacturing processes in alignment with business needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Fabricate components using stainless and mild steel sheets and sections
*
Perform welding using MIG, TIG, and Manual Metal Arc techniques
*
Execute manual cutting operations using plasma and flame cutting methods
*
Weld to insurance and industry standards (e.g., BS5500 / BS EN 286); coded welders will undergo in-house testing for competency
*
Interpret technical drawings and translate them into efficient fabrication solutions
Skills & Experience:
*
Strong welding and fabrication abilities, including cutting, marking out, squaring, and bending
*
Proficiency in operating metalworking machinery and tools such as guillotines, rolls, brake presses, and hand tools
*
Experience working to technical drawings and manufacturing instructions
Salary:
£30,000-£40,500
Overtime rate paid at 1.5X times
