Welder / Fabricator
Location: Biggleswade, Bedfordshire (SG18)
Salary: £14.50 - £15.50 per hour
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: Mon - Thurs: 8.00am - 4.30pm & Fri: 8.00am - 3.30pm
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a long-established and internationally respected engineering manufacturer based in Biggleswade. Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join their friendly and experienced team.
Working from their state-of-the-art facility, you will be involved in the fabrication and welding of high-spec industrial equipment for a global client base. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable, growing business with long-term career potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Welding and fabricating of sheet metal components
Working from detailed engineering drawings to assemble and produce high-quality products
Operating workshop machinery including grinders, drills, and punch machines
Safe operation of overhead cranes and other material handling equipment
Ensuring work is completed to deadlines and to high standards of accuracy
Requirements:
Proven experience in welding and metal fabrication
Ability to read and work from technical engineering drawings (essential)
Familiarity with workshop tools and machinery
Good verbal and written communication skills
Strong work ethic with a reliable and safety-conscious approach
Organised and able to work independently or as part of a team
