About the Role
Perfect Personnel is currently recruiting for experienced Welder/Fabricators to join a busy Redditch-based manufacturing client. This is a varied workshop-based role involving metal fabrication, welding, press-brake operation (preferably Bystronic), and some assembly.
Important: This role is not suited for candidates looking to weld all day. We’re looking for versatile fabricators comfortable working across different tasks.
Key Responsibilities
* Fabrication of steel components and assemblies (frames, enclosures, panels)
* Operating press-brake machines — ideally Bystronic
* Reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
* Metal cutting, bending, drilling, grinding, and finishing
* MIG/TIG welding as part of broader fabrication tasks
* Assembling and fitting metal parts, occasionally applying surface finishes
* Ensuring quality control and accurate measurements
* Maintaining a clean, safe workshop environment
What We’re Looking For
* Previous experience as a Welder/Fabricator in a manufacturing or workshop setting
* Skilled in operating press-brake machinery — Bystronic experience a strong plus
* Comfortable working with sheet metal, structural sections, and mild steel
* Able to read and work from engineering drawings
* Good all-round fabrication skills (not just welding!)
* Reliable, self-motivated and physically fit
What We Offer
* Starting pay of £14.50 per hour
* Regular day shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm
* Full-time hours with weekly pay
