We are looking for a skilled Welder/Fitter to join a dynamic team in a busy workshop environment. The ideal candidate will have strong MIG welding skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality work. This role involves working on trucks, trailers, and cranes, using various materials, including sheet metal, and requires proficiency with hand and power tools.
Key Responsibilities:
*Perform MIG welding on various materials to meet project specifications
*Utilize hand tools and power tools for fabrication and assembly tasks
*Conduct quality checks on welds to ensure compliance with standards
*Assemble components to ensure structural integrity
*Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
*Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines
*Work on trucks, trailers, and cranes in a workshop setting
Candidate Requirements:
*Proven experience in MIG welding
*Strong fabrication skills, with the ability to work with sheet metal
*Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to welding and fitting tasks
*Solid mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues
*Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations
