Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder/Fabricator to join our team in Wimborne, Dorset. This role is integral to our operations, focusing on the fabrication, assembly, and finishing of metal parts, primarily using laser-cut profiles. Salary: £17.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm (earlier finish of 4pm Friday)
Responsibilities
As a Welder/Fabricator your key responsibilities will include:
Welding: Performing TIG, MIG, and MMA welding on various materials, including steel and aluminum.
Fabrication: Assembling and finishing metal parts, working with laser-cut profiles.
Preparation: Preparing components for welding and assembly.
Quality Control: Ensuring welds and fabricated parts meet specified standards.
Safety Compliance: Adhering to strict safety regulations and using appropriate personal protective equipment.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
Proven experience in welding techniques, particularly TIG welding.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Familiarity with different welding processes and materials.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Additional Considerations:
Experience in sheet metal work is advantageous.
Background in marine welding or other specialized areas is a plus.
Day-to-Day
Your daily tasks will involve:
Preparing materials and components for welding and assembly.
Utilizing TIG, MIG, and MMA welding techniques to fabricate and assemble metal parts.
Inspecting and ensuring the quality of welds and finished products.
Collaborating with team members to meet project deadlines.
Maintaining a safe and organized workspace, adhering to all safety protocols.
