MIG and TIG Welder
Location: Brownhills
Pay: From £14.00 per hour
Hours: 39 per week
Schedule: Monday to Thursday 07:00–16:30, Friday 07:00–14:15
Job Type: Full-time, Temp to Perm (or Permanent for the Right Candidate)
Recruit Central is seeking a skilled MIG and TIG Welder to join our client’s small, friendly team. This role involves welding and fabricating metal components with precision, working from technical drawings, and maintaining high-quality standards throughout all projects.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will have proven MIG and TIG welding experience, strong mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work with both hand and power tools. You will be responsible for fabricating components to specification, ensuring structural integrity, and maintaining a safe, organised workspace.
Key Responsibilities

Perform MIG and TIG welding on a variety of materials to required specifications
*
Assemble and fabricate metal components according to engineering drawings and project requirements
*
Use hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing metal parts
*
Inspect completed welds to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
*
Maintain a clean and organised work area, storing tools and equipment correctly after use
*
Collaborate with colleagues to troubleshoot welding process or equipment issues
*
Follow safety protocols at all times, including correct use of PPE
Skills and Requirements
*
Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding techniques
*
Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to read and interpret technical drawings
*
Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes
*
Proficient in using relevant hand and power tools
*
Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations
*
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
*
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
