Job Description
Opus Vitae is recruiting on behalf of a long-established leader in high-quality steel products, they’re now looking for a skilled Welder to join their production team, working on the fabrication of bespoke steel products.
What you’ll be doing:
* Reading and interpreting technical drawings to accurately fabricate products to customer specifications
* Welding components using manual or semi-automatic equipment in vertical, horizontal, or overhead positions
* Inspecting welded surfaces and structures to identify and resolve any flaws
* Following company procedures to ensure all work is completed to a high standard
* Maintaining equipment in safe working condition and using all required PPE correctly
* Keeping your work area clean, tidy, and well-organised
* Collaborating with supervisors and other departments to resolve issues and improve production processes
What we’re looking for:
* Previous experience in welding (MIG)
* Ability to read and work from detailed technical drawings
* Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality workmanship
* Good communication skills and a team-player attitude
* Willingness to follow all health & safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE
* Organised, proactive, and able to work to production deadlines
