Job Description
Are you a time-served Welder/Plater Supervisor with a background in heavy engineering or shipbuilding? We’re hiring on behalf of one of the region’s largest industrial employers for a key supervisory role.
🛠️ What’s on offer:
* £23.12 per hour basic
* Time & half (OT1) & double time (OT2) for overtime
* Weekly pay
* 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
* Employer contribution pension scheme
🔧 Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and support a team of welders and platers working on large-scale fabrications
* Monitor progress, quality control, and health & safety
* Provide hands-on technical guidance and ensure compliance with procedures
✅ Ideal candidate will have:
* Proven supervisory experience in welding/fabrication
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Welding/Fabrication (or time-served)
* Strong communication and leadership skills
