MIG Welder
Location: Mansfield, Nottinghamshire
Hours: Mon – Fri (Days)
Salary: Up to £33,562 per annum (DOE)
Contract: Permanent
Opportunity.
The UK’s only independent rail wagon manufacturer, with over 100 years of expertise in the design, manufacture, and maintenance of freight wagons and bespoke containers are seeking a MIG Welder to become part of their team.
Key Responsibilities
Perform MIG welding on rail wagons and associated components.
Fabricate and weld mild steel plate (3mm–35mm thickness) depending on component requirements.
Read and interpret technical drawings to deliver precise fabrication and assembly.
Ensure compliance with safety procedures and quality management systems at all times.
Undertake modifications and repairs to wagons and bespoke containers as required.
Requirements
Proven experience in MIG welding.
Competence in performing a 6mm fillet weld test (to be assessed at interview).
Experience in fabrication within heavy engineering or rail environments.
Strong commitment to safety and quality in all work undertaken.
