Job Description
Primary Responsibility:
Our client, based in Bury, is looking for a Foreman. They will be responsible for leading a team of welders/fabricators to ensure both company and client specifications are met.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* To provide technical and supervisory guidance and support to welders/fabricators to ensure agreed quality specifications are achieved.
* Organising and allocating workloads to ensure deadlines and procedural requirements are met through maximum productivity and efficiency.
* Ensuring high standards of health and safety are adhered to at all times.
* Liaising with management to ensure that the team delivers a high-quality product at every step throughout the fabrication process.
Required Qualifications or Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
* Excellent communication skills.
* Experienced in fabrication/welding with leadership qualities.
* Must have a knowledge and understanding of detailed fabrication drawings.
* Display an understanding of the relevant standards, codes and practices.
* Able to work both as an individual and a team player along with being self-motivated.
* Able to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
* Computer literacy including; Excel and Office applications.
Desirable
* Previous experience in a supervisory role.
* Overtime
Training:
* Any and all training required will be provided to the successful candidate
Hours of Work:
Nights
