Welsh Teacher - Full-Time - Cardiff
Days: Monday to Friday (Full-time)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent or Long-term
Teaching Role: Welsh language instruction across KS3 and KS4 (and/or KS5)
Are you a passionate and dedicated Welsh Teacher committed to promoting the Welsh language and culture in education?
A vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Cardiff, in partnership with Empowering Learning Cardiff, is seeking an enthusiastic Welsh Teacher to join their modern languages or humanities faculty from September 2025. This full-time role provides the opportunity to inspire and educate pupils in the Welsh language, helping develop fluency, appreciation of culture, and confidence in communication.
You will deliver engaging and structured lessons aligned with the national curriculum, promote bilingualism, and support learners of mixed ability levels. You will also contribute to the wider school community, participating in cultural events and cross-curricular initiatives.
What We're Looking For:
✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or FE teaching qualification
✅ Experience teaching Welsh at secondary level (KS3-KS4, KS5 desirable)
✅ Strong command of written and spoken Welsh
✅ Ability to engage and motivate learners across age and ability ranges
✅ A current DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
