About the Role

Looking for a friendly, growing company where your white goods skills are valued and rewarded? WME, specialists and leaders in the domestic appliance, white goods and commercial equipment sectors, are recruiting for a White Goods Field Service Engineer to join a supportive service team.

You’ll work across Hertfordshire and neighbouring counties, delivering repairs, preventative maintenance, and technical support on domestic appliances including washing machines, tumble dryers, dishwashers, ovens, and refrigeration units. Key Responsibilities

  * 

    Attend customer sites to diagnose, repair, and maintain domestic appliances.

  * 

    Carry out fault finding, preventative maintenance, and component replacement.

  * 

    Achieve high first-time-fix rates through efficient troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical systems.

  * 

    Maintain service reports, parts usage logs, and job completion records.

  * 

    Ensure your service van is organised, stocked, and ready for daily work.

  * 

    Provide excellent customer service and technical advice on-site.

What We’re Looking For

  * 

    Previous White Goods / Domestic Appliance experience (domestic or commercial).

  * 

    Electrical & mechanical competence: NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent, or 2+ years’ field service experience.

  * 

    Fault-finding skills with electrical schematics and electromechanical systems.

  * 

    Full UK driving licence.

  * 

    Strong communication and customer service skills.

  * 

    Self-motivated, reliable, and adaptable with the ability to work independently.

  * 

    Gas qualification desirable (support provided for Gas Safe registration if needed).
