Job Description
WiFi Network Designer
Our client, a leading name in the telecommunications industry, is looking an experienced WiFi Network Designer to join the team responsible for designing and building the UK's largest public WiFi network.
In this role, you'll contribute to the maintenance of an established core network, create bespoke solutions tailored to customer needs, and help drive the transition to modern, cloud-based infrastructure.
We're looking for someone who is passionate about learning and innovation, eager to share knowledge, and committed to continuous improvement. You'll thrive on designing, developing, and deploying networks that have a direct and tangible impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and enhance the existing core network infrastructure
Design and implement new network solutions based on customer requirements
Contribute to the evolution of the network toward cloud-based technologiesRequired Skills and Experience:
Proven experience in core network design using Cisco IOS-XR and IOS-XE
Strong understanding of IP technologies (equivalent to CCNA level)
Familiarity with network security technologies, including firewalls and IPSec
Experience with physical installation of network equipment in data centresDesirable Experience:
Knowledge of F5 BigIP and load balancing technologies
Hands-on experience with WiFi Access Points, especially Meraki or Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers
