Job Summary
Our client is looking for skilled and dedicated Window Fitters to join their team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of various types of windows and doors in residential properties. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
Duties
* Install and replace windows in accordance with building regulations and safety standards.
* Measure and cut window frames accurately to ensure proper fit.
* Use power tools and hand tools effectively to complete installations.
* Perform repairs on existing windows, including sealing, caulking, and weatherproofing.
* Collaborate with other tradespeople such as builders, electricians, and plasterers as necessary.
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
* Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their needs and preferences.
Skills
* Proficient in the use of power tools and hand tools relevant to window fitting.
* Ability to build structures and perform basic masonry tasks as needed.
* Experience in painting and finishing work to enhance the appearance of installed windows.
* Knowledge of welding techniques for metal frame installations is advantageous.
* Familiarity with roofing principles may be beneficial for certain projects.
* Basic electrical skills are a plus for integrating window features such as automated systems.
* Strong problem-solving abilities to address challenges that may arise during installation or repair processes.
* Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Window Fitter/Installer
* A valid CSCS Card is essential.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Own tools and transport preferred.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Excellent time management and organizational skills.
