Job Description
Electrical Fitter – Control Panels & Cabinet Wiring
Location: Newhaven, East Sussex
Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Our client, a growing manufacturer of bespoke machinery and automation systems, is looking for an experienced Electrical Fitter to join their expanding production team in Newhaven. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a wide variety of electrical assembly and wiring projects within a modern manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
*
Build and wire electrical control panels and cabinets to engineering drawings and wiring schematics.
*
Carry out panel wiring, loom assembly, and point-to-point wiring on bespoke machinery.
*
Assist with mechanical assembly where required to ensure full system integration.
*
Perform electrical testing, fault-finding, and quality checks to ensure high standards.
*
Work closely with engineers and production staff to meet project deadlines.
*
Maintain a safe and tidy work area, adhering to company and industry safety standards.
Skills & Experience Required
*
Proven experience as an Electrical Fitter, Panel Wirer, or Electrical Assembler.
*
Strong background in control panel wiring, cabinet assembly, and electrical installations.
*
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
*
Basic understanding of electrical safety standards and good workshop practices.
*
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
