One of our clients, a well-established engineering and maintenance services provider, is looking to expand their team with a Team Leader - Panel Wiring based in St Helens. They operate across multiple industrial sectors and are known for delivering high-quality, safety-focused solutions.
Your new role
As a Team Leader - Panel Wiring, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of wirepersons and ensuring the successful delivery of electrical control panel assembly projects.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Leading and coordinating a team of panel wirepersons to meet production targets and quality standards.
Providing hands-on support with wiring, mechanical assembly, and component fitting within electrical control cabinets and systems.
Interpreting and working from circuit diagrams, wiring schematics, and mechanical drawings.
Collaborating with engineering and production teams to ensure project specifications and deadlines are met.
Driving continuous improvement initiatives and promoting lean manufacturing practices.
Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and quality standards at all times.What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you should have:
Proven experience in electrical panel wiring and assembly, ideally in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
Excellent understanding of technical drawings, wiring schematics, and control panel systems.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Familiarity with 5S/Lean manufacturing principles and a focus on achieving KPIs.
