Job Description
A joinery business in Witham are seeking an experienced Wood Machinist to join their team. This role involves operating a variety of woodworking machinery to produce high-quality components for retail, commercial, and display projects.
The hourly rate is up to £20ph, working 8am till 5pm Monday to Friday. This is a 40 hour week.
Key Responsibilities
Operate machinery including spindle moulders, saws, planers, and CNC routers
Read technical drawings and cutting lists
Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency
Work collaboratively with workshop teams
Requirements
Minimum five years' experience in a joinery or manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of woodworking machinery and timber materials
Ability to work from technical drawings with attention to detail
Self-motivated with good communication skills
Desirable
NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry and Joinery
Experience with CNC machinery
Supervisory experience or knowledge of LEAN practices is an advantage
