Our client is seeking an experienced Workforce Planning Manager to support a fast-paced Transformation Programme. The successful candidate will play a critical role in workforce analysis, capacity planning, resource management and process improvement. You will help shape future workforce strategy, support recruitment and procurement activity, and contribute to integrating new capability into BAU environments.
The role requires someone analytical, confident with data, stakeholder-facing and comfortable working within a complex, multi-supplier programme environment.
Key Responsibilities
Workforce Planning & Forecasting
*
Support the organisation in understanding future workforce requirements and capability needs.
*
Analyse workforce data to identify trends, risks, shortages and resource pressures.
*
Produce workforce planning documentation, dashboards and reporting tools.
*
Provide MI on resourcing levels vs programme demand, forecasting and capacity modelling.
Resource & Recruitment Support
*
Assist with contractor procurement and wider recruitment processes.
*
Support approvals, workforce onboarding and contract extensions.
*
Schedule, track and report staffing requirements for current and future projects.
*
Help resolve resource bottlenecks and capability constraints affecting delivery.
Process & Operational Improvement
*
Identify and implement improvements in workforce planning processes.
*
Support the development of capacity and capability plans aligned to programme needs.
*
Assist in integrating new workforce procedures into business-as-usual operations.
*
Maintain accurate workforce data and ensure robust resource governance.
Skills & Experience Required
Core Experience
*
Workforce planning experience within a transformation or change programme.
*
Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building ability.
*
Skilled at interpreting workforce, capacity and financial data.
*
Able to manage competing priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Essential Tools & Technical Capability
*
Advanced Excel + Power BI for workforce modelling and reporting.
*
Visio for organisational mapping and structure charts.
*
Experience with SharePoint lists + Power Automate workflows.
*
Comfortable building dashboards, approval flows and resource reporting mechanisms.
Working Environment
*
Operates within a Programme Resourcing function.
*
Fast-paced, delivery-focused, multi-stakeholder environment.
